EMERGENCY TRAVEL EXPENSE
If your car becomes disabled more than 100 miles from home, SmartGuard Car Club will repay you up to $300.00 to continue your travels or room and board while you wait on auto repairs.
LOCK & KEY SERVICE
SmartGuard Car Club will reimburse you up to $100.00 if a locksmith is called to open member’s locked auto.
WRECKER SERVICE
SmartGuard Car Club will reimburse you up to $50.00 for towing and wrecker services.
TRAFFIC VIOLATIONS
SmartGuard Car Club will reimburse you 50% of traffic violations for speeding only up to $200.00.
EMERGENCY AMBULANCE EXPENSE
SmartGuard Car Club will reimburse you up to $150.00 for ambulance fees for transporting member from auto accident to hospital.
EMERGENCY ROADSIDE SERVICE
Member calls for road service of member’s choice and SmartGuard Car Club will reimburse member up to $100.00. Roadside mechanical repair includes labor and service call only. Gas, parts, new keys and repairs in garage or at service station not included, except tire repair and battery charge, which are limited to $25 each. Purchase of battery and/or new/used tires not included. Only one wrecker charge or service call per disablement. Assistance of a private citizen or services of a family member in wrecker business is not reimbursable.
Legal Fees
$10,000 BAIL BOND
If member is charged in an auto accident in which someone is injured or killed, SmartGuard Car Club will reimburse member 10% of licensed bail bondsman fee or $1,000, whichever is less. SmartGuard Car Club will not be a surety on any bail bond. This provision does not include an appeal bond of any kind. NOT AVAILABLE IN OKLAHOMA, SOUTH CAROLINA, OR VIRGINIA.
TRAFFIC COURT DEFENSE
SmartGuard Car Club will pay up to $150 to member’s attorney for defending member on traffic violation. Must have membership at the time of citation. Submit copy of citation and attorney fee receipt for reimbursement.
PERSONAL DEFENSE FEES
When charged with vehicular homicide due to an auto accident, SmartGuard Car Club will pay attorney of member’s choice up to $250 to defend member in preliminary hearing and up to $250 each for subsequent trials or hearings not exceeding $750 per accident.
LEGAL FEES/INJURY
Up to $100.00 in fees to the attorney of your choice to collect for personal injuries sustained in auto accident.
STOLEN AUTOMOBILE REWARD
SmartGuard Car Club will pay a reward of $2,500 for any person responding to the member’s posting of reward and giving information to law enforcement officials that directly leads to the arrest and conviction of anyone stealing member’s automobile. Must provide police report and proof of conviction. Claim must be submitted within 90 days of incident.
